The Wilmot Softball Association will be holding it's 2nd annual general meeting on September 26, 2018 at the WRC -Program Room - 7:30pm.
Our AGM will review the innaugural season past and focus on ways to improve and develop for the years ahead. Your support and attendance is welcome and very much in need. An Agenda will be emailed out a few weeks prior to the AGM with a list of topics and items to be reviewed.
For the upcoming term, the following positions are required to be filled and will be elected at this meeting should more than one candidate be interested in filling the role(s). Please click on the job description below to see if one is of interest to you. The WSA only meets once per month, and again we cannot bring the same programs and better to life without the continued volunteer support of our membership. Please give the following positions some serious consideration:
Treasurer (3 Year Term) - The Treasurer will keep an accurate record of all monies received and dispensed through a Chartered Bank/Trust Company, will report annually to the Association’s Annual General Meeting; will be responsible for the preparation and submission of all grant applications having a financial aspect; will prepare and submit a budget to the Board annually, and will perform such other duties as may from time to time be established by the Board.
Please note the Term for each position is dictated by the board as a way to help keep things running smooth and also to aid in any possible transitions from one role to another. Terms are not written in stone as we all realize these are volunteer positions and peoples personal lives change constantly varying the ability to continue to partake in a position or to resign from a position. Terms assigned are what we ask you to consider when signing up and are also how long you will maintain that posting prior to the next vote on new candidates for that positions so long as you remain in good standing with WSA. As happened this year we have some people that need to move on due to personal commitments, change in work environment and other factors.
